Privacy Policy

Updated: October 8, 2026 · Applies to the Battery Assistant Android app and this website

Battery Assistant is a local battery tool that does not require an account. We only use the information needed for the battery dashboard, screen settings adjustments, and charging reminders.

1. Information used by the app

The app processes this information on your device and does not actively upload it to a developer server. It does not require your name, phone number, or email, access your contacts, photos, or location, or include advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs.

2. Why permissions are needed

Modify system settings
Used to adjust the brightness and screen timeout you select, and to restore your saved original settings. You grant this permission through Android’s system settings.
Notifications
Used for target charge reminders and a persistent notification while reminder monitoring is active. Android 13 and later require your permission to show notifications.
Foreground service
Used to monitor battery status while charging reminders are enabled. Monitoring stops when you turn reminders off. After restarting your phone, open the app once to resume monitoring.

You can revoke permissions or turn off notifications in system settings. The related features may then be unavailable; the app does not access additional information as a result.

3. Local storage, backup, and deletion

Reminder preferences and your saved original settings are stored locally by the app. Android may back up or restore app data according to your system backup settings. The system and its backup service control this process.

You can clear Battery Assistant’s data in Android app settings or uninstall the app to remove its local data from your device. Clearing data or uninstalling does not automatically restore changed screen settings. First use Restore in the app, or adjust them yourself in system settings. Consult your backup service settings to manage system backup copies.

4. Purchases and third-party services

When you download or purchase through Google Play, Google Play handles transactions, payment information, and store accounts under its own terms and privacy policy. Battery Assistant does not read or store your bank card information.

5. Visiting this website

This website has no registration, comments, or online forms, and includes no advertising or visitor analytics scripts. When you switch languages, your browser stores your language preference locally for your next visit to the homepage. This preference is not uploaded, and you can delete it by clearing the website’s data. To deliver pages and protect access, hosting or network providers may process necessary request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and access time. This is separate from the battery information processed by the app on your device.

6. Updates to this notice

If features or information handling change, we will update this page and the date above. You can return here to read the current notice. For help using the app, see the homepage FAQs.
